Rep. Floyd honored by Georgia Indo-American Chamber

State Rep. Hugh Floyd (D-Norcross) was presented with a Special Recognition Award by the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce during the chamber’s fifth annual banquet on Oct. 29 in Atlanta.

Floyd was recognized for his leadership and support of the chamber’s mission to develop and promote trade, business, commercial and professional relations between India and the United States, especially in Georgia.

“My House District, the 99th, is a very diverse section of Gwinnett County in which many nationalities and cultures are represented,” Floyd said in accepting the award. “I will assist in any way that I can to foster an even stronger relationship between the businesses, industries and governments of India and Georgia.”
