December 2 runoff to decide three races

Voters will return to the polls on December 2 for runoffs to decide the following elections in which no candidate received the required 50% of the vote in the General Election on November 4:

U.S. Senate: Jim Martin (D), Saxby Chambliss (R).

Public Service Commission, District 4: Jim Powell (D), Lauren McDonald Jr. (R)

Georgia Court of Appeals (nonpartisan): Sara Doyle, Mike Sheffield.

In Gwinnett County, early voting is under way weekdays through Wednesday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. only at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, Lawrencevlle, GA 30045.

Voters who want to vote early using a paper ballot may request an absentee ballot by mail or fax. Marked ballots must be returned to the Elections Office by mail or by the voter in person in time to be counted on Election Day.
