Hugh Floyd is serving his fourth term as State Representative from House District 99 (Gwinnett County). He is a member of the House Economic Development & Tourism, Education, Government Affairs and Industrial Relations Committees.

The Floyd Family

Hugh and his wife Judy have been married 45 years and have lived 37 of those years in our district. His son and daughter were educated in the Gwinnett County Public Schools, and his daughter Dana Floyd Harper is a special education teacher at Sugar Hill Elementary. His son Evan is a sales executive.

Active in Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District

PTSA President Meadowcreek High School - Served as president 8 times since 1986. The last two years as president with no children in school. Yearly involvement since 1985.

Band Booster President 3 years.

Member of School LSAC Programs 15 years .

President Blackwood Hills Association - 8 years.

Member of the Superintendent's Council - Gwinnett County Public Schools.

Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services, Care Team Coordinator for the Meadowcreek Cluster area.

Gwinnett Alliance for Youth - Member of the "Positive Youth Development" Council.

Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful - "Graffiti Hurts Coalition" .

2001 Educational - SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) Served on Promotional Activities Committee, and also a member of the speakers bureau to pass the billion dollar funding for school construction.

Gwinnett County PTA Council - Area Representative.

Volunteer with the HOSTS Mentoring Program at Lilburn Middle School, mentoring a student three days a week.
